Hudson Theatre Works was founded, by Karen Brady, Gregory Erbach and Frank Licato, as a non-profit, 501(c)3, professional Equity theater, in 2012.

HTW is committed to work that is thought provoking, challenging and entertaining.  Work that is known for edgy presentations, the high quality of it’s acting and innovative design. Hudson Theatre Works produces Off-Broadway quality professional theater at affordable prices.

Tom Jeszeck
Board President

Tom Jeszeck has worked on Wall Street as a Financial Advisor for over 25 years and is currently with Wells Fargo Advisors in Florham Park. With a music and theater background and a degree from Westminster Choir College he sings professionally with the Glen Ridge Choral Society and the Cathedral Choir at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark. He has appeared in musical and nonmusical theater productions with the Players Guild of Leonia, Summit Playhouse, Ridgewood Gilbert & Sullivan, Smiling Rhino, Montclair Operetta and Hudson Theatre Works. He has served on the board of Hudson Theatre Works since 2011 and previously held the office of Treasurer.

Frank Licato
Artistic Director

Frank Licato has been working for over 30 years as an actor, director, producer and teacher.  He has collaborated with such theatre luminaries as Joseph Chaiken and Peter Brook and he was named best actor in Boston for his performance as Lt. Vukov in the American premiere of Barry Collin’s Judgment.  He was nominated for an Obie award for his performance in “Deathwatch” by Jean Genet, which the New York Times called a ‘performance on another plane’.  He acted at the American Repertory Theatre, the Delaware Theatre Company and the Boston Shakespeare Company.   He has appeared on TV in Third Watch, Sidney Lumet’s 100 Centre Street and with Frank Sinatra in First Deadly Sin. 

As a director his production of Neil LaBute’s The Shape of Things was selected as a regional finalist in the Kennedy Center’s American College Theatre Festival. 
Other credits include an Off-Broadway production of Lamppost Reunion and On the Waterfront, which was attended by Budd Schulberg the week before he passed away. Some others are:   Neil Labute’s Fat Pig and My Italy Story by 12 Miles, Tannhauser: The Play at the Obie award winning Ice Factory Festival, Clifford Odet's Rocket to the Moon at Soho Rep and Golden Boy at the Raw Space.  He staged the Off-Broadway hit revival of Rod Serling's Requiem For A Heavyweight and the award winning Off-Broadway revival of Sam Shepard's Seduced.

Gregory Erbach

Gregory Erbach, grew up in Hudson County and has been working on and off the stage in professional theatre for over 25 years. Currently the Assistant Electrical Construction Boss at the Metropolitan Opera House, he has been an actor, stage manager, producer, carpenter, electrician and technical director for hundreds of productions at venues such as the American Place Theatre, Steppenwolf Theatre, The Weston Playhouse, The American Jewish Theatre, The John Houseman and The Equity Library Theatre. He was the technical director for John Leguizamo's first two Broadway Video productions Mambo Mouth and Spic-O-Rama for HBO. He played Terry Malloy in the Renegade Theatre's first production (and the Metro area's premier) of Budd Shulberg's "On The Waterfront" He played Art Kroeger in the critically acclaimed "Shannon Doyle Incident" at the Samuel Beckett on Theatre row. He has been on the Board of Directors of the Park Performing Arts Center since the boards inception in 1999. President of Erbach Electrical Contracting LLC, he is a licensed electrician in NJ and New York City.
